ShareForce’s Partnership with GROW ECD
Here at ShareForce, corporate social responsibility isn’t a dusty handbook on a shelf—it’s the heart and soul of our mission. We recently teamed up with GROW ECD, a dynamo in early childhood education, to support women-owned preschools in underserved communities. This isn’t just about lending a hand; it’s about giving a real boost forward! Together, we aim to empower women, foster sustainable businesses, and deliver high-quality early childhood education that transforms communities.

Who is GROW ECD?
Launched in 2014, GROW ECD is all about seeing preschool owners as powerhouse entrepreneurs who make a real difference. They believe quality education starts with the women who run these schools—and they don’t stop at saying it. GROW ECD goes all-in, equipping these social entrepreneurs with the skills, support, and tech they need to create sustainable preschools that deliver five-star learning in every neighbourhood. From business smarts to financial know-how, GROW’s approach isn’t just about kids learning their ABCs; it’s about communities building their futures with the end goal of creating centres of excellence.
The ShareForce Crew Gets to Work
On October 25th, our Johannesburg team got a hands-on introduction to GROW ECD’s magic at Ethandweni Daycare in Cosmo City. This is no ordinary daycare—run by the wonderful Nyameka; it’s been a cosy, caring space for children aged 6 months to 5 years for nearly two decades! With five teachers and about 40 little learners, it’s a place that already has love at its core.
Our team arrived with fresh paint, gardening gloves, and an eye for transformation. Working with GROW ECD staff and Nyameka, we planned ways to brighten up Ethandweni. By the end of the day, we’d spruced up the building’s exterior, set up a vegetable garden to teach sustainability (and hopefully encourage some veggie love!), and turned the school into a kaleidoscope of colours and energy. And after a hard day’s work, we shared a meal with the teachers and kids, celebrating the vibrant new space.
But we didn’t stop at paintbrushes and plants—we also donated school kits packed with educational resources tailored to GROW ECD’s standards. With these tools, Nyameka and her team are one step closer to turning Ethandweni into a five-star learning centre.
A Partnership for the Long Run
Our partnership with GROW ECD isn’t just about a quick fix; it’s about building long-lasting change. By supporting women like Nyameka with the resources they need, we’re aiming to boost communities where every child has access to high-quality early education. And as CEO, I couldn’t be prouder—not only of the impact we’re creating but of my team’s commitment to making it happen. Their work here wasn’t just about “helping pockets” with financial support; it was about showing up with their hearts and providing true, hands-on help where it counts most.
And this is just the beginning! At ShareForce, we know community matters, and with GROW ECD, we’re committed to making a real impact that lasts for generations.
